When the Po flows into the Adriatic, the currents join in a brackish dance, and two universes – that of fresh water and that of salt water – merge. In this threshold, distances dissolve: the gilt-head bream meets the mullet, the sea bass brushes against the perch, and the sole shares its space with the carp. It is here that you realize nothing is truly separate: every force is completed through its counterpart, just as yin contains yang, and yang returns into yin.
